The 2025 Infiniti QX60 has handsome looks, a classy and comfortable cabin, comes well-equipped, gets good gas mileage, and costs less than other luxury three-row crossovers. But it falls short when it comes to driving dynamics which prevents it from being a top contender in the competitive luxury midsize SUV class.

The QX60 is the best-selling vehicle for Infiniti. It’s the luxury version of the Nissan Pathfinder. It was first introduced for the 2013 model year but was called the JX35 back then. The QX60 got a makeover for 2022 and is now in its second generation. For 2023, wireless device charging became standard. There were no major changes for 2024. For 2025, the V6 engine is replaced by a turbo four and a new Black Edition package is available on the Luxe trim for $1,900 and includes blacked-out exterior and interior trim elements.
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 comes in four trims: Pure, Luxe, Sensory and Autograph. The Pure trim starts at $50,200 which is low for the class. The Autograph trim starts at $66,150. Front-wheel drive is standard on the three lower trims and all-wheel drive is available for an additional $2,000. All-wheel drive is standard on the Autograph trim.
There’s room for seven passengers in the Pure, Luxe and Sensory trims with a bench seat in the second row. The Autograph trim has seating for six with captain’s chairs in the second row.
All trims have the same engine: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 268 horsepower and 286 pound-feet of torque. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic. This set-up replaces the outgoing six-cylinder engine.
The 2025 QX60 is not unpleasant to drive but it sure doesn’t have the performance chops of some rivals. The engine can roar when you floor the accelerator and the transmission isn’t always quick to shift up or down. The QX50 can feel unwieldly when cornering as there’s a fair amount of body lean. The steering has a nice, weighted feel and brakes are responsive. The ride is firm but still comfortable much of the time but you will notice bumps and rough roads. Visibility is limited to the rear due to a narrow rear window. The bottom line is the QX60 doesn’t have the refinement you’d expect in a luxury vehicle.
Fuel economy is good for a luxury midsize SUV. EPA ratings for my tester are 22 mpg city and 27 mpg highway with a combined rating of 24. I got 23 mpg during my week with a mix of city and highway driving.
When properly equipped, the 2025 QX60 can tow up to 6,000 pounds.
The cabin is comfortable and roomy. Most materials are high-quality with a nice look and feel. All trims come standard with leather upholstery. Adults have good leg- and headroom in the first two rows. The third row is tighter, as is usually the case, but a couple of smaller adults or three kids can ride back there.
Standard features include keyless entry, push-button start, rearview camera, tri-zone automatic climate control with microfilter, leather upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, driver’s seat memory settings, heated front seats, heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, seven-inch digital gauge cluster, infotainment system with 12.3-inch touchscreen, nine-speaker audio system, HD Radio, satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, Bluetooth, voice recognition, five USB ports, Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless device charging, rain-sensing windshield wipers, 12-volt DC power outlet, and a panoramic moonroof.
Available features include remote start, surround-view camera system, head-up display, rear-camera mirror, upgraded leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, massaging front seats, passenger-seat memory settings, heated rear seats, 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 17-speaker Bose audio system, navigation, an additional USB port, and a household 120-volt outlet.
Standard driver assistance technologies include forward collision warning, forward automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors
Available driver assistance technologies include ProPilot Assist (Nissan’s semi-autonomous system with adaptive cruise control and lane centering), lane-keep assist, traffic-sign recognition, front parking sensors, and driver-attention monitoring.
The infotainment system is user-friendly. It looks good with its large 12.3-inch touchscreen, is easy to see and reach, and responds quickly to touch and voice commands. There are handy physical controls for audio and climate. While Apple CarPlay connectivity is wireless, you have to use a cord if you have Android Auto.
Cargo space is good for the class. There are 14.5 cubic feet with all three rows in place, 41.6 cubes with the third row folded, and 75.4 cubes with both rows folded. There’s some additional storage space under the cargo floor. A power liftgate is standard and a hands-free liftgate is optional.

My tester starts at $58,800. The Black Edition package is $1,900 and includes a black front grille with radiant grille emblem, black roof rails, black rear emblems, 20-inch wheels with gloss black finish, black headliner and upper interior trim, Infiniti radiant exterior welcome lighting with logo, and Infiniti radiant illuminated kick plate. Premium paint is $695. The destination charge is $1,350 bringing the grand total to $62,745.
Bottom line:
The 2025 Infiniti QX60 has a lot going for it with a spacious and comfortable interior, lots of standard and available features and tech, and good fuel economy. It appeals to families who want something nicer with a starting price that’s less than most other midsize luxury SUVs. But its mediocre driving dynamics and lack of refinement keep the QX60 out of the top spots in this class.
