2026 Lucid Air Sedan Touring

Five years after it was introduced, the Lucid Air has become the standard for luxury EV sedans. While the 2026 Lucid Air doesn’t get a complete overhaul, it does get some upgrades while keeping all the things that made the Air stand out from the start: industry leading range, extraordinary efficiency, serene ride quality, and effortless performance. The result is the best Air yet.

Base Price: $79,900
As Tested: $100,550
Horsepower: 620
Mileage: 126 MPGe city/121 MPGe highway/123 mpg combined

The most significant change for 2026 is access to Tesla Supercharger network with a CCS to NACS adapter. All Air models can now use Tesla V3+ Superchargers, dramatically expanding fast charging availability across North America. Charging power is capped at 50 kW, but Lucid estimates up to 200 miles of range per hour, which sure makes it easier to charge on long trips.

The 2026 Lucid Air comes in four trims: Pure, Touring, Grand Touring and Sapphire. Starting prices range from $70,900 to $249,000. There’s room for five passengers in two rows of seating.

For 2026, the Touring trim gets higher density battery cells, increasing the range from 406 to 431 miles – this further distances the Air from most competitors. All trims now include a standard mobile charging cable.  And a new, more powerful air conditioning compressor borrowed from the Gravity SUV improves cooling and also noticeably reduces cabin noise. Android Auto arrives via over the air update, addressing one of the most frequent owner requests.

Performance and range set the Air apart from other luxury EV sedans.

The Air Pure ($70,900) is quick and efficient. It has a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive with a total output of 430 horsepower. Lucid says It can go from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has an EPA-estimated range of 420 miles.

The Air Touring ($79,900) has two electric motors and all-wheel drive, 620 horses, can go from zero to 60 mph 3.4 seconds., and has a range of 420 miles.

The Air Grand Touring ($114,900) has two electric motors and all-wheel drive, an impressive 819 hp, can jet from zero to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds and has a range of 512 miles.

And then there’s the Sapphire ($249,000). This track-ready beast has three electric motors which crank out an astonishing 1,234 horsepower. It can rocket from zero to 60 mph in just 1.89 seconds and has a range of 427 miles.

No matter the trim, the Air is fast with acceleration that’s linear and effortless. The ride is composed with the suspension helping the Air glide over rough roads. Steering and handling are confident. The Air is a joy to drive, with a good balance of comfort and performance, whether you’re carving turns on twisty backroads or cruising on the highway.

With its impressive range, the Air dominates and is unmatched by any other luxury EV sedan. DC fast charging is competitive with rivals as Lucid’s 900-plus-volt architecture allows for rapid charging. And the new access to Tesla’s Supercharger network significantly improves charging availability. Charging power is capped at 50 kW, but Lucid estimates up to 200 miles of range per hour, which meaningfully improves road trip convenience.  All trims now come standard with a mobile charging cable.

The cabin has a minimalistic and modern feel. Materials are nice, but not as opulent as what you’ll find in some other luxury vehicles. The interior is roomy – passengers in both rows enjoy generous leg- and headroom, and adults will be comfortable in the second row. An impressive 34-inch screen display stretches out in front of the driver, and there’s a touchscreen that can flip down on the center console.

Standard features include proximity keyless entry, digital key, power illuminated door handles, rearview camera, tri-zone automatic climate control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, synthetic leather upholstery, 12-way heated and power-adjustable front seats, 34-inch glass cockpit display, power-retractable central touch screen, navigation, over-the-air update capability, nine-speaker Surreal Sound audio system, HD Radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, four USB ports, voice recognition, wireless device charging, Lucid virtual assistant, ambient lighting, automatic high-beam headlights, and a 12V accessory power outlet in the cargo area.

Available features include a surround-view camera system, four-zone automatic climate control, soft-close doors, 20-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats with memory and massage, 21-speaker Surreal Sound Pro audio system with Dolby Atmos technology, heated steering wheel, rear center console display screen, heated rear seats, power rear and rear side window shades, and a brushed aluminum roof.

Standard driver assistance technologies include forward and reverse collision warning, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, stop-and-go adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, blind-spot cameras, forward and reverse pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, front and rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, park assist, and driver-attention monitoring.

Available driver assistance technologies include Drive Assist with active lane centering, Traffic Jam Assist, and future-capable ADAS hardware.

The 2026 Air has a ginormous 34-inch curved glass cockpit display in front of the driver and a power-retractable 12.5-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen on the center stack. The software has improved but can be glitchy at times, and the interface requires lots of inputs through the screen. You’ll need some time to become familiar with the system and all of the menus. There aren’t many physical knobs or buttons, which can be frustrating, but at least there are some physical controls for volume and some HVAC settings. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard.

The 2026 Air has plenty of room for cargo in its large trunk with 22.1 cubic feet of space. A wide and low opening makes it easy to load and unload stuff. There’s also a large storage area under the cargo floor. A power trunk lid is standard. Up front is a large frunk (front trunk) with 10 cubes of space and another compartment underneath.
