Hotels across the Gem State recognized for surpassing cleanliness expectations
BOISE – (July 31, 2019) – 88 Idaho hotels received AAA’s new Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping award, which recognizes properties that significantly surpass AAA’s high standards of cleanliness. Only the top quarter of the 27,000 hotels AAA inspects nationwide earn this distinction. To receive the award, hotels must demonstrate excellent housekeeping on two consecutive inspections and be free of AAA member complaints.
“What these hotels have achieved is truly remarkable, especially when you consider that our AAA Inspectors arrive unannounced to evaluate them,” says AAA Idaho public affairs director Matthew Conde. “That tells you that the extraordinary attention to detail isn’t a fluke – there’s a consistency and a commitment that sets these hotels apart.”
This year, Boise has 21 award winners, followed by eight each in Idaho Falls and Meridian, six in Twin Falls and the Sun Valley/Ketchum/Hailey area respectively, five in Nampa, and three a piece in Coeur d’Alene, McCall, Mountain Home, Pocatello, and Rexburg. Still more are scattered in smaller towns and cities throughout the Gem State. Because AAA inspects hotels year-round, the number can fluctuate throughout the year.
“The Idaho award winners can be found across the state, and they aren’t limited to resorts,” Conde said. “Anyone can stay at one of these locations, even if they’re on a limited budget.”
For a hotel to be AAA Inspected & Approved, it must meet established standards of cleanliness and quality. Then, it is awarded a Diamond Rating based on the amenities that are offered. The more amenities, the higher the rating. Superior cleanliness scores are also needed to qualify for the Best of Housekeeping award.
The best way to find AAA Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping award winners nationwide and book a stay is by speaking with a AAA travel professional, but travelers can also find the information by visiting AAA.com and searching the AAA Travel Guides or TripTik Travel Planner.
