Quick facts about the new AAA Astoria Service Center
AAA Oregon/Idaho opened its first location in the North Coast area in 1953 in Astoria. For the past several decades, the AAA Service Center was in Young’s Bay Plaza in Warrenton. AAA Oregon/Idaho closed that facility earlier this month when operations began at the new Astoria location.
The new AAA Astoria Service Center was originally built in 1968 and was a branch of the Bank of the Pacific until it closed a few years ago. AAA Oregon/Idaho purchased the building in November 2023 and began an extensive remodeling project. The design team worked to keep the historical elements of the building intact, and align the building’s scale, materials and design with the surrounding community. AAA Oregon/Idaho donated the fixtures and furniture from our Warrenton Service Center to local charities and the city of Warrenton.
