This year, five hotels and one restaurant meet the criteria for an upscale experience

BOISE – (February 14, 2019) – AAA Idaho warmly congratulates five Gem State hotels and one restaurant for meeting the high standards of a AAA Four Diamond rating.

This year’s award winners are:

Hotels

The Coeur d’Alene Resort (Coeur d’Alene) – Four Diamond Award since 1986

Sun Valley Lodge & Sun Valley Inn (Sun Valley) – Four Diamond Award since 2005

Shore Lodge (McCall) – Four Diamond Award since 2012

Grove Hotel Boise (Boise) – Four Diamond Award since 2014

Inn at 500 Capitol (Boise) – Four Diamond Award since 2017

Restaurants

Beverly’s (Coeur d’Alene) – Four Diamond Award since 1989 – 30 years in a row!

“Customer ratings can be very helpful, but they are also somewhat subjective. AAA’s professional inspectors apply the same ratings system at more than 58,000 locations annually nationwide,” says Matthew Conde, public affairs director for AAA Idaho.  “Because our inspectors arrive unannounced, hotel and restaurant properties must consistently deliver an excellent experience to earn and keep a Four Diamond Award.  That’s what makes the achievement so impressive.”

Because AAA inspectors check multiple rooms and common areas in hotels, and sample a variety of foods from the restaurants they visit, a Four Diamond Award is a team effort. Just six percent of AAA’s Inspected & Approved hotels earn the high distinction.  Every employee’s contribution adds to the refined experience that AAA members and other guests expect.

All of the Diamond Ratings information can be found in AAA’s TourBooks, online at AAA.com, and through the AAA Mobile App.

“These fantastic establishments really help put Idaho on the map as a tourist destination,” Conde said. “Our state is famous for friendly people, rustic beauty, and plenty of outdoor activities, and this is a reminder that if travelers are looking for refined luxury, we’ve got them covered.”
