Charging Forward with AAA

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available at many AAA Service Centers in Oregon and Idaho. EV charging stations are accessible to all electric vehicle drivers through the ChargePoint app. AAA members enjoy half price charging fees for Level 2 and DC Fast Chargers at any of our locations as well as a 50% discount off the standard idle time fee.

DC Fast Charging is the quickest and most powerful way to charge electric vehicles. DC Fast Charging can fully recharge an EV battery in 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the vehicle.

Level 2 charging is the most common type used in public charging stations, businesses, grocery stores, retail locations, and hotels. It can provide 10 to 75 miles of range per hour, depending on the vehicle. Level 2 EV charging has been available for several years at most of our Service Centers and will continue to be offered at our locations where DC Fast Charging is not offered.

Download the ChargePoint App & Access Your AAA Discount

The ChargePoint App gives you everything you need to charge your EV.

With the app, you’ll be able to find available stations based on your EV specifications, start charging (all you need to do is hold your phone to the card reader at the charging station), get notified when a charge is done or a charging station is free, read driver tips, and more!

Instructions

Download the ChargePoint app and create an account
Tap Log-in and enter a Username and Password
From the menu, tap Account, then tap Connections
Search for Connection AAAMembers
Tap on Members-AAA Oregon/Idaho
Enter your 16-digit AAA membership number (No Spaces)
Click Submit Request

You will receive an email notifying you of the approval, then your member discount with ChargePoint will be active.

Mobile EV Charging

AAA can provide members with mobile charging for EVs that need a boost on the roadside. The AAA service trucks with mobile electric vehicle charging capability provide a Level 2 charge and can typically provide about 10 to 14 miles of range in about 30 minutes so that EV drivers can get home or to a charging station. This service is included in all levels of AAA membership.

Portland, Bend, Boise, Eugene and Medford are markets where AAA Oregon/Idaho provides mobile charging for EVs on the roadside.
