Charging Forward with AAA

Level II Electric Vehicle charging stations, provided by ChargePoint, are available at the following AAA Service Centers: Portland, Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Clackamas, Salem, Eugene, Bend, Medford, and Boise. We will soon be adding Level III charging stations to nine locations throughout our network. EV charging stations are accessible to all electric vehicle drivers through the ChargePoint app. AAA members also enjoy half price charging fees for level II and III chargers at any of our locations as well as a 50% discount off the standard idle time fee.

Mobile EV Charging

Available in the Portland Metro Area

If you’re in the Portland Metro area and you need a boost at the roadside, AAA can charge up members with discharged electric vehicles. After charging, your vehicle will have up to 10 miles of range (depending on the vehicle) to get to a charging station.

AAA’s roadside EV charging will provide up to a 30-minute Level II charge using the Blink IQ-200-M mobile charging unit with the standard J1772 plug for 10 or more miles of charge to your EV (depending on the type of vehicle). AAA now has the ability to charge the majority of Electric vehicles, including Electric Motorcycles with this standard plug type. You can also charge a Tesla vehicle using the Tesla J1772 adapter.

The mobile electric vehicle charging truck is very similar to AAA’s other light services vehicles. The truck is equipped to allow AAA’s technicians to provide traditional AAA Roadside Assistance capabilities to all motorists, such as battery testing and replacements, jump starts, tire changes and fuel delivery.
