Five hotels and one restaurant recognized for upscale style and service

BOISE – (February 19, 2020) – AAA Idaho proudly announces that this year, five Gem State hotels and one restaurant have earned the prestigious AAA Four-Diamond designation.

“Plenty of hotels and restaurants talk about service and upscale experiences, but AAA Four and Five-Diamond recipients take things up a notch,” says AAA Idaho Public Affairs Director Matthew Conde.  “We congratulate this year’s honorees for their extraordinary commitment to everyday excellence.  AAA members from all over will definitely want to visit these fantastic places.”

For more than 80 years, AAA has conducted professional, in-person inspections using objective criteria that travelers can trust.  All inspected properties must meet AAA standards for quality and cleanliness just to be published in AAA’s travel content.  Only 6.5% of the hotels that AAA inspects earn a Four-Diamond designation, while 2.3% of the restaurants qualify for that distinction.

“AAA evaluates some 60,000 properties in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean,” Conde explained.  “Inspectors arrive unannounced and check common areas and multiple guest rooms as part of the process – anything that a member might experience is fair game.”

Diamond Designations and inspector notes can be found in AAA’s print TourBooks, online at AAA.com, and through the AAA Mobile App.
