Congratulations to Oregon’s AAA Four Diamond restaurants!

A brief description of each property, along with AAA Inspector Notes, are provided below. (The year listed by each establishment indicates the year the property first received the current, consecutively maintained Diamond rating.)

LINCOLN CITY

The Bay House (2015)

Overlooking Siletz Bay, this fashionable, contemporary dining room provides the perfect backdrop for ever-evolving, creative regional cuisine. The seasonally changing menu emphasizes fresh seafood such as halibut, prawns and Dungeness crab. The tasting menu is a popular option here, and a great way to try several menu items.

NEWBERG

The Painted Lady (2011)

In a restored Victorian house, this culinary treasure is located in a quiet neighborhood just steps from downtown. The multi-course prix fixe meal offers a taste of the local region and its fresh meats, seafood, organic vegetables and award-winning wines. The refined dining room is a welcome respite after a day of touring. Sit down with friends or that special someone and let the hours slip away. Outdoor dining may be available on warmer days.

PORTLAND

Castagna (2016)

Next door to its more casual sister café, this fine-dining facility serves as a sparse and simple, yet elegant, space that allows the focus to fall on the food. Chef Justin Woodward runs the kitchen and oversees the creation of each course. Ingredients are artfully plated, maybe even photogenic. Menus change seasonally but always feature farm-fresh and local ingredients. Diners choose from two, multi-course prix fixe menus and can opt to add a wine pairing as well. Street parking can be a challenge so it’s wise to allow time to circle the block a time or two before your scheduled reservation time.
