Since 1974, the Idaho city of Moscow has transported visitors to another era at the Moscow Renaissance Fair, held the first weekend of May in East Park. The fair features a parade led by bagpipers and a colorful dragon, and vendors dressed in Renaissance-inspired attire. On May 4-5, the free event showcases a juried art show with hand-crafted works from across the country. The public can join a Maypole dance accompanied by live music. See moscowrenfair.org.
